Development Manager (Full-Time)

This full-time opportunity is benefits eligible and is an opportunity to work with a committed team making a tremendous impact in our community. The primary responsibilities include leadership for event planning, membership engagement, community engagement, fundraising activities, managing donor relationships, and tracking grant/funder requirements and opportunities. Requires ability to stay within budgeted funds and significantly contribute to the budgeting process. Oversees donor and events databases and utilizes technology and other forms of communication to engage potential donors and event participants. Proficiency in use of Excel, Word and other common office software applications a necessity. Supervises small part-time staff and volunteers that assist with events and fundraising activities.
Ability to meet people with ease; ability to write and edit effectively; ability to communicate the written and spoken work with tact, diplomacy, and authority when necessary; good organizational skills; well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, self starter, able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines; ability to work well effectively with volunteers; thorough understanding of Delaware as well as regional and national markets; knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques; knowledge of long-range planning process; good managerial skills; knowledge of health care trends. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills. Maintenance of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance is required.
