SUMMARY:QPR Gatekeeper Training
DESCRIPTION:Now more than ever\, suicide prevention awareness and training is needed in our communities. QPR Gatekeeper Training is a virtual\, 1 hour training meant to guide participants on how to recognize an individual who may be in a suicide crisis and how to guide them to proper treatment/services. QPR is a mnemonic that stands for Question\, Persuade and Refer to help you remember the 3 easy steps to helping a person who may be suicidal. Thanks to funding through the Delaware DSAMH\, by the DHSS\, SAMHSA\, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment\, Substance Abuse Block Grant\, NAMI Delaware is able to offer this training at no cost to participants. \nContent Warning: Discussion of suicide\, suicidal ideation & potential means. Also includes interactive discussion portion regarding a fictional scenario describing an individual exhibiting warning signs of suicidality.

SUMMARY:NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group
DESCRIPTION:NAMI Delaware Virtual Connection Recovery Support Group is meant as an online substitute to our in-person Connection Recovery Support Group meetings to allow individuals with a mental health condition the chance to connect and feel supported. \nThis support group will be facilitated by trained NAMI Delaware volunteers with lived experience and structured as closely to the original model of NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group as possible via Zoom. It is open to all participants who identify as a peer and are over the age of 18.

SUMMARY:NAMI Delaware Family Support Group
DESCRIPTION:In-person at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church (7 Mount Lebanon Road\, Wilmington\, DE 19803) \nThis Family Support Group will meet in person every 2nd Monday of the month from 7pm-8pm at the Brandywine Valley Baptist Church in Wilmington. We will continue to monitor the situation to assure the safety of facilitators and participants. In accordance with CDC guidelines\, individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks while attending this in person meeting.   No registration is required to attend this group. \nNAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Each group is led by trained facilitators who also have lived experience as a family member/loved one. \nVirtual group meetings will continue as scheduled at https://fsgonline.eventbrite.com
