  • Nearly 3 in 5 (57%) of U.S. teen girls reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in 2021, representing a significant increase compared to previous years.
  • More than half (52%) of LGBQ+ students experienced poor mental health, indicating a heightened vulnerability among this demographic.
  • Approximately 1 in 5 (22%) of LGBQ+ students attempted suicide in the past year, underscoring the urgent need for targeted support and intervention strategies.
  • Over 1 in 10 (14%) of adolescents reported experiencing sexual violence, reflecting a concerning rise in harmful experiences among youth.
